Fabulous
Not terrible but i wouldn’t stay again!
Liked: Breakfast was good, and the staff at breakfast were nice. The rooms are basic but nice and clean. Location good and there is a great cocktail bar opposite.
Disliked: It’s not a very welcoming place. You get there and the gates are locked if arriving at night and there’s not a clear way to find out how to get in. The woman that owns it tells you to be quiet even if it’s at 10pm and you’re literally just having a normal conversation with the receptionist. The owner literally told me and my mum to ‘SHH’ and we wasn’t even being loud, this happened more than once and it is really rude. I want to say that some of the staff were nice especially the younger girl who was very friendly, so it’s the few rather than many that are rude. There is no pool bar, and the pool they even shut it early October even though the was a few sunny days after the storm. I left a night early but it would be okay if you literally just want to sleep there it’s just not a very welcoming/overly friendly place. I’ve been coming to Hersonissos/Stalis for over 10 years and I think that there are far more welcoming/friendly places it didn’t really feel like I was in Greece. I don’t want to say it’s all bad as the rooms were basic but nice and clean for the price I paid, there is a lift which is handy with luggage, the breakfast was decent and it’s in a great location. I think I just had a bit of an odd experience and it may be okay other times.
Wandering Stokies in Stalis
Liked: Staff were lovely, lady on reception was really nice and friendly (and helpful) Great location Rooms good size, decent shower, hairdryer provided Nice pool with sunbeds and umbrellas
Disliked: No kettle in room, we brought a kettle and mugs to use as otherwise you have to go out for a coffee (it is provided with breakfast. 8-10;45). Air-conditioning wasn't great, it was noisy and not very effective
Liked: Great stay! Kind staff!
Worthy
Liked: - aircon very strong and fresh - shower very good - clean
Disliked: -breakfast, no bacon, no beans not many choices
We stayed here for a week in July for a wedding, the hotel itself was lovely, it’s small and quiet and a little bit out
Liked: Fab location, Very good value for money. The hotel is quiet, a little bit out of the way, quaint and has a small business/family run kind of vibe.
Disliked: The only con I have is breakfast choice is very limited but we just ventured out for a breakfast elsewhere and for how much we paid we still think it’s great value.
Good value and great location for a calming experience
Liked: It was much nicer than expected. The staff were friendly and personable. The pool was quiet and very big for a hotel of its size.
Disliked: Found a few hairs lurking throughout the room.
