Fabulous
Unusual Accommodation in an Original Stone House
Liked: One of the original stone houses built in Monemvasia, has the low entry and ceiling height appropriate for the time it was built, but perhaps awkward for anyone who is very tall. There is an upstairs bedroom and a street level bedroom with small windows to keep in the heat in the winter and keep it cool in the summer. The beds and furnishings were comfortable. We met the owner in the town square and she guided us to the house and provided keys. We went to local restaurants for meals. We loved this unusual accommodation and would return.
A most welcoming host in a most beautiful setting
Liked: The castle town of Monemvasia is in itself breathtaking and Nefeli is situated in a quiet & beautiful area, yet just steps away from the main road and the beach. Sanny really went out of her way to accommodate us; big thank you!
Really quaint and lovely town
Liked: The location is perfect inside the fortress.
Disliked: The bathroom is a little tight and rustic, but it f you know going in, it’s just fine.

Liked: The host was very nice. The location was good.
Disliked: There was no A/C in the upstairs bedroom, and, while I understand the limitations for A/C units in this area, I strongly suggest that the one A/C unit on the property should be updated and moved upstairs, and could cool the house from there. The heat was intolerable, nobody was able to sleep.

Disliked: No air conditioning in the loft meant that this room was not useable due to the heat. We had to move the mattress to the ground floor which was easy enough to do.
