Cute house for 4 people to visit Ancient Olympia
Liked: Very cute house with 2 terrasses. Well equiped. Very good communication with Panos.
Disliked: Matresses are pretty hard. Small streets, not easy to park with a big car.
Liked: super nice cozy little house， 6 mins drive to olympia central
Love the overall place
Liked: The property was very nice and had a great patio next to the garden
Disliked: The door locks were not like North American locks, so a little difficult to manoeuvre at first. The beds need a little work
Nice village house, but don't expect something special
Liked: Nicely looking stone house with a garden very close to the Archaeological site of Olympia. Spacious rooms and, importantly, two bathrooms. The living room has a fireplace, though we stayed only one night and didn't get to use it. Very clean.
Disliked: One must be prepared that the layout of the house is not the most convenient. You have to take a very narrow spiral stairs to reach the bedrooms and the upper bathroom. For me, this was a challenge as I'm overweight. It is not an option to carry large luggage through that spiral stairs, too. There is also an outside staircase to the 1st floor, but in winter months, this may not be the most convenient thing. All in all, the interior of the house looks somewhat outdated. Bed matrasses were quite firm, to whom it may concern.
Nice charming house close to olympia site
Liked: Very close to the Old Olympia site, making sightseeing easy. The stone house is charming, and using the real fireplace was a fantastic new experience that we loved. The host was very prompt. A huge highlight was being told we could have the oranges/lemons from the garden, they were absolutely delicious!
Disliked: None! It was a highlight of our trip
Excellent option for a family with a rental car visiting the Olympia area
Liked: The house is wonderful and the owner is highly attentive, even responding while on his own vacation. Oranges and lemons ready to be picked each morning on from the private patio enclosure. Bedrooms were spacious and on the 2nd floor above the living room, kitchen and full downstairs bath and it is a very quiet neighborhood. Very good place for a family to stay and have a bit of space to spread out vs. a hotel room.
Disliked: Archea Pissa is a very small neighborhood with tiny alleys between homes, but very peaceful and pleasant. Locating the exact house was a bit challenging at night. The Host is extremely caring and responsive, so I'm sure he can provide even better directions than google or apple maps offered. We were very thankful for the clothes washer as this stay fell in the middle of our travels, however, there is no dryer. In the summer that would be no issue given the warm weather and provided lines for drying on the patio, but if you are visiting in December as we did, allow drying time accordingly. None of this detracted from the stay, however.
