Disliked: A Truly Disappointing Our recent stay was marred by an incredibly rude and unhelpful hotel host, turning what should have been a relaxing trip into a stressful ordeal. From the outset, communication was a significant issue. We received no proper instructions for check-in, and despite repeated attempts, our phone calls went unanswered. The host claimed WhatsApp was available for communication, but this proved to be false, leaving us stranded and frustrated. When we finally managed to reach her, instead of a welcoming greeting, her immediate focus was on collecting an illegal EUR 12 fee, claiming she couldn't communicate this through Booking.com. When we rightfully objected to this unexpected and unauthorized charge, her response was shockingly unprofessional: she refused us entry to the room we had already fully paid for a while ago. To make matters worse, this whole mess happened midday on one of July's scorching hot days, leaving us totally stranded and super uncomfortable. On top of that, the house was just in a really awkward spot. Even if it was advertised as walkable, the intense July heat made any movement on foot impossible, further compounding our discomfort, and forcing us to take a taxi every single time. The host's complete lack of hospitality, coupled with her attempt at an illicit charge and subsequent denial of access, made for an absolutely horrible experience. We strongly advise against staying here if you value clear communication, fair treatment, and a welcoming environment.

Liked: The room was nice with an outside area. Well equipped kitchen. Maria, the owner, was very helpful as was her daughter who helped me on my arrival.
Disliked: I found the hill, getting to the accommodation was very taxing and wouldn't advise for the less mobile. It is an island and you expect hills.
We had a wonderful holiday!
Liked: I've been to Poros several times before and love this little island. I actually chose the place for its very convenient location - it's both close to the beach and close to cafes and restaurants. It's at walking distance from everything, but at the same time a little off the main road, so the only sound you'll hear at night is the cicadas. The hosts were lovely and very easy to communicate with.
Disliked: Nothing to write here, as we were really happy with our stay.
