Good
Okay for one night - not for longer
Liked: The room was clean and comfortable and equipped with a fridge, a microwave with a hob oven on top, and a sandwich toaster. There was a basket containing two sachets of sugar and two herbal tea bags, and a coffee machine - yet no pods. The bed was comfortable, with additional blankets in the wardrobe. There was a good hair dryer and the mirrors were well-positioned. I liked the balcony and it's great there is a mosquito screen. It was relatively near to the marina (see more on this below). The WiFi connection was good and the kitchen is well-equipped with glasses for drinks etc.
Disliked: When I arrived, I thought I would be met by the host but there was no one there despite pre-booking my arrival time. I had to call the host on Whats App and they told me my room number and explained the key is in the open door. If I didn't have an eSim, I would've struggled to make contact with the host. After arriving, my door was open and the maid stepped into my room asking why I hadn't left and then stood in the room calling someone until I asked her to leave. I had to use Chat GPT to explain to her (translated) that I had only just checked in. On my first day, I took a shower and the water was pleasantly hot but the following morning, it was freezing. I let the host know and the maid came to show me it was working, around 30 mins later - but as I had to leave at 10am for a flight, I had been forced to take a freezing cold shower already to ensure I left on time. The apartment is near the marina but it is located down a few side roads which aren't well-lit at night. I did feel a little uncomfortable walking back on my own in the evenings. It's about a 10-12 minute walk to the marina so I'd have liked to have stayed a little closer ideally. The bathroom is like a wetroom and there is nothing to stop the shower water from flooding the whole room. I lay a rolled-up towel on the floor as I was worried it could leak into the main room too. It was very slippery and dangerous. There is no holder for the shower on the wall either. The apartments are based on the second floor, up two flights of stairs - not ideal with heavy luggage.
It was an okay stay, but I felt unsafe
Liked: Air conditioning was available and working. All other things as described.
Disliked: The entrance to the house was open all day and night making it scary to come home. Furthermore noise travelled a lot in the house.

Liked: Did what it said on the tin. Cheap and basic. It was OK.
Disliked: Once you showered water went straight to the floor do that everytime you went toilet you got wet feet and made the bedroom floor wet. Oven to cook things but no cutlery. How do you eat what you've cooked? Rooms so close together we could clearly hear the neighbouring TV, so much so the occupants of room 2 started banging on the door of room 3 at 3 in the morning to demand they turn down the volume nearly resulting in an altercation. Not conducive to sleep.
Liked: Stairs were difficult with bags
