  Really great place at the center of Salonica

  Lovely boutique hotel with great staff!

  Liked: I was moved to a lovely room on the 6th Floor as I did not need the X Large room. It was delightful with lots of light and a small balcony.. Lovely bathroom with shower and separate toilet. Simple but classically modern design. Bed was super comfortable. The staff are just wonderful. Always welcoming you when you get back to the hotel, great advice on restaurants and places to see, etc. They clearly love working there. The breakfasts were really good, too. Fresh and local produce, you can order eggs any way you want, and freshly squeezed orange juice is a lovely touch. I was solo for 6 nights and they made me feel so welcome! Many thanks to the whole Modernista Team!

  Lovely city, lovely people, super pleasant welcome at the hotel

  Liked: Excellent location, really helpful' super-friendlly staff at every level. I would just point out that it's not designed for anyone with a physical disability as there are a few steps to negotiate even to the lift,. It is minutes away from city centre and the seaside promenade.

  Disliked: The lack of shelf space and some UHT milk for the coffee maker in the room would have been nice but a minor detail. Very nice hotel overall.

  Fantastic Hotel in the heart of Thessaloniki!

  Liked: We absolutely loved our stay at The Modernist Thessaloniki! A beautiful boutique hotel combining modern design, comfort and an unbeatable central location. The family room was fantastic, with separate bedrooms and bathrooms, giving everyone their own space and privacy. Such a brilliant setup when travelling with children and easily one of the best family room configurations we’ve stayed in. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Their recommendations for restaurants, places to visit and things to do were absolutely spot on every single time! Their local knowledge and genuine hospitality really made a difference. The location is perfect, with shops, restaurants, cafés and the city’s main attractions all within easy walking distance. A wonderful hotel that gets so many things right. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Modernist, particularly to families, and will definitely stay again when we return to Thessaloniki!
