How to choose a hotel with parking
On site, nearby or on the street
A hotel may have its own car park, an arrangement with a car park nearby or only street parking. In city centres it is usually paid and spaces are limited; on the coast and in the countryside it is more likely to be free.
What to check before booking
Ask whether you need to reserve a space, whether it costs extra per night and the maximum height if you are driving a van. In old towns and low-emission zones, access by car may be restricted: the hotel usually explains how to get there.
