  The charm of a Irish cottage was well preserved

  Liked: The owners had breakfast basics left in the fridge. Very kind. It would have been helpful to know this would be the case beforehand because we arrived with bread, milk, butter and cheese.

  Disliked: A detail: providing washcloths! A lamp in the LR would make that room cozier!

  A beautiful traditional cottage in a beautiful setting

  Liked: What a beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting! The cottage was clean, quiet and comfortable. My partner thought the bed was a little hard and we could've used a heavier blanket. The kitchen and bathroom were clean; the host even left breakfast makings in the fridge. All in all, it was a great experience.

  Disliked: The cottage was priced a little out of our budget, but it was worth the extra cost. The hedges on either side of the parking space could use a trim because we couldn't see if cars were coming in either direction (this seems to be the Irish way.)

  Quaint, impeccably clean home in great location

  Liked: Exceptionally clean and had so many household items, some we don’t even expect. Beautiful location, very near most of Doolin and Lisdoonvarna. We loved the Fiddle + Bow brand and would definitely stay at any of their properties in the future.

  Disliked: It is a smaller cottage so not ideal for 3 guys, better for 2 or less couples.

  Highly recommend. So cosy and everything spotless

  Liked: Beautiful cottage. Everything fabulous.

  Disliked: Thought it was a little pricey but it was the August bank hol weekend so I expect that prices probably more than usual.

  A pretty workers cottage perfect for peace & quiet

  Liked: We weren't sure what to expect from Yellow Cottage. We knew it was an old workers cottage but seeing how well it had been renovated was wonderful. Just about everything had been thought of and it had been tastefully decorated with quality fabrics and bed linen etc. And the heating worked well as it was still cold for May. A loaf of Irish Brown bread, six organic eggs, milk, homemade strawberry jam and butter had been thoughtfully provided. The location was gorgeous. It was in a very rural area a five minute drive from Doolin but there were other houses dotted along the country lane so it didn't feel isolated. Really pretty garden with distant views across to the Cliffs of Mohr. A great spot to watch the sunset.

  Disliked: The kitchen and bathroom were tiny but fine for a three night stay. The nearest large supermarket SuperValu is at Ennistymona which is a 15 min drive so plan a grocery shop carefully if you want to eat in. Saying that Russells Restaurant also managed by Fiddle & Bow is only 5 mins up the road by car.
