  Close to the city centre

Liked: Good size and space and only a 10 min walk into the city centre. One parking space in the driveway. Two bathrooms. Lots of storage space.

Disliked: Heating didn’t work and shower was cold. Some bags of rubbish in the garden and discarded cigarettes. Very squeaky bathroom door. Couldn’t get through to the host until we checked out.

  wouldn’t be returning

Liked: the house is a great location to Eyre Square

Disliked: The stay was disappointing. When we arrived, there were large bags of dirty laundry in the house, and although the host approved the use of the sofa bed, no bedding was provided. The TV didn’t work, and we found beer bottle caps and even a condom in the kitchen cupboards. The beds were uncomfortable, the shower didn’t drain, and many cabinets were scratched or peeling. Most tables were wobbly, and the home looked nothing like the old online photos. Overall, the property needs major updates and better cleaning.

  Liked: Location

Disliked: House was supposed to be ready at 3pm for check in. Arrived to find towels on floors, beds not remade with fresh bedding, rubbish etc. Messaged host who got cleaner to come and she was finished after 6pm. I also Messaged host fire alarm was bleeping and then told cleaner who didn't speak much English and made me message host of her phone. Went out for dinner, back afew hours later smoke alarm still bleeping every 37 seconds. Messaged host on out of hours mobile number, he replied over 2 hours later saying cleaner must not have understood to change the battery and told me to unplug it. I told him it was at the top of the stairs by the last step and I was not risking myself or my 2 daughters to do that (plus it was his responsibility!). No reply. Even demanding a refund he is a joke! I wanted 50% refund he agreed 20% with me not leaving a review! I said NO, 50% for no review. He never replied. So managed to eventually get 20% refund from bookings.com and now leaving my review. This host clearly only cares about money and not customers! Stay clear of here!
