Good
Overall, very good
Liked: Good location, very nice apartment
Disliked: Bathroom could have been a bit less cramped. I was emailed the day before saying that I would be required to leave a deposit of an extra 100 euros to ensure that my party complied with some house rules (that was OK, but a bit over the top for staying in a separate apartment rather than a single room in the hostel). This was not mentioned when I booked the apartment. However, when we arrived, I was told that the deposit would be 200 euros!
A lovely place in Galway!
Liked: The beds were very comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch.
Disliked: I didn’t love the single bathroom/shower to one room. I wish there were multiple stalls as 6 girls in one bathroom trying to use it all at once was a bit inconvenient.
Comfortable stay in the centre of Galway
Liked: I liked how central the hostel is within the centre centre, walking distance to the city centre. The rooms are clean, spacious kitchen and it also has a lounge area. A comfortable living experience. I liked how I was sleeping by the radiator, I liked how I could feel the warmth from the radiator when it would come on. Showers were nice and warm when I used them and I liked that there was a curtain door so it would block water from wetting my changing clothes. Secure hostel with a card key which I am used to. Staff on duty if needed any assistance.
Disliked: Just the narrowness of the upstairs landing area. And also the bunk beds were low to the ground, okay the ceiling wasn’t the highest. The gap was smallish in my bottom bunk bed so I couldn’t really sit up straight as I’d hit my head against the top bunk bed mesh springs. The luggage box underneath the bunk bed is what I prefer but it just about fits underneath, though I had to get up a few times from my bed when a fellow resident needed to attend their luggage as my weight on the bed was not allowing the box to be removed from underneath the bunk bed.
Liked: Our room was very nice, practicaly furnished, enough space for everything. Nice and clean, bathroom looked a bit older but it was clean and everything functioned as it should. Kitchen on the ground floor had a mini fridge, kettle and microwave. Close to the center and the beach. Pub was two doors down and very nice as well. Staff very kind and welcoming, they lend us a charger as well. 10/10
Liked: The location. We had a separate apartment since we r a family of 5.
Disliked: The price was too high for the night
entertaining
Liked: it was great. it was a "ten-seater" dorm and one guy was snorezilla and this other lad had sleep-fart-nea but believe me, it was soooo funny, everyone who woke up to it was cracking up. beautiful humanity on display all around. thanks woodquay.
