Exceptional
comfortable and convenient and perfect for one or couple
Liked: Close to the town of Assisi. Value for money, in comparison to other accommodations within Assisi.
Disliked: The windows need fly screens, due to the mosquitos entering into the room.
Would stay again at this wonderful property
Liked: Well kept, great location, very nice just.
Liked: Nice old building and had a coffee maker. Host was friendly and lovely area and view from the window overlooking the forest
Disliked: The road where it's on is a bit far from the bus stops. You will have to walk quite a distance into Assisi or get to the bus stop into town
Magical and Peaceful
Liked: I went to Assisi to meditate, pray, And immerse myself in green. I wanted to feel the spirit of the place—maybe as St Francis had done. Camere le Cascatelle was perfect for this. It is located at the base of the Forest of St. Francis—right next to a stream. A bridge that crosses the stream takes you along a path that Gino, (owner of the house) says was once the main road to Assisi. An opera of birds, a view of the Cathedral and numerous stars in the deep blue sky added to the magic of the place. I had no trouble finding it-once I was given the co-ordinates. I took a bus to Assisi from the train station and then walked down the hill and uo the small country road by the creek until I found the place. In the morning, I took the path through the forest to arrive in the town itself. The room was clean-in good repair- warm- quiet and quaint. I would definitely go back.
Disliked: I liked everything- but for those who are not interested in walking up the hill to the town- I would suggest a different place.
Liked: The owner was a very lovely, sweet lady and very kind and helpful. The facilities were really good and it was nice to have a fridge in the room as well. It was a very well furnished and spacious room. I really enjoyed the accommodation. The owners were very hard working and attentive to ensure guests needs were met.
Disliked: Location was remote, with no good public transport which meant I had to take taxis all the time; this was an additional cost and more difficult than if I could have walked there easily in the dark, unlit evenings as well as.during the days. A few temperature issues while I stayed meant the room was too cold and then got too hot. However the charm and facilities of the place more than made up for it. There was a bit of a language barrier so it would be good if guests were able to speak or get by in Italian.

Liked: Amazing view, close access to Assisi while being isolate enough to keep in contact with nature, the owner is incredibly respectful and kind, the room was spotless and well decorated, the cleaning lady very considerate ( we weren’t rushed to check out)
