  Lovely locally run 3* hotel in great location with friendly staff and fabulous views

  Liked: Excellent location just off main square on quiet road. Fantastic views from room balcony and restaurant terrace. Room had a fridge. Good shower, towels, toiletries. Generous buffet breakfast. Very very friendly and helpful staff. Had a delicious dinner in the restaurant on first night and went to two restaurants recommended by hotel staff on other two nights. Easily walking distance to all main sites eg St Francis Basilica

  Disliked: Our room (a superior with balcony) was quite small with two single beds. But we loved the balcony. There are, as you might expect, a lot of steps - down into restaurant from road, down again to the room corridor, up to our room and then up into our bathroom. It was ok for us but could be tricky. Would have been good to have a kettle.

  Liked: The best things about this property is its location and the views. 1miniute walk to the square and the panoramic views are spectacular. Breakfast was great and all the staff were excellent. Room a bit tired, needs some TLC.

  Disliked: Bedroom door handle almost coming off, walls and doors all scratched, free toiletries were embarrassing.

  Room 28 is not what was advertised

  Liked: Good breakfast and comfortable beds.

  Disliked: Room 28 does not match the photos or the description, nor the standard of a 3-star hotel. It is accessed from the street through a restaurant, without passing the hotel reception, and we were often mistaken for restaurant customers. The corridor to the room is shared with the restaurant’s toilets, and a foul smell reaches the room. Soundproofing is very poor: you can hear conversations from the next room, chairs being dragged upstairs, and restaurant noise until closing time. The view over the town is partly blocked by another structure, unlike in the photos. Not restful and no privacy.

  Nice boutique hotel

  Liked: Nice rooms. Wonderful and helpful staff.

  Disliked: Too many stairs going up and down to get to the various parts of the hotel.
