Liked: We liked its location, a nice little walk under the porticoes into the centre. It was reasonably quiet.
Disliked: It’s all very well being a restored convent, but the grey screed and undecorated walls up the steps and the corridor walls was rather dreary, and as we were not there for penitence, some black and white pictures of the city or bright contemporary art would have brightened our day.

A little gem that offered good value for money
Liked: The hotel was small and basic but exactly what we needed. The price was most competitive and the room was more than adequate for our needs. The air conditioning was excellent and very quiet in our room overnight. Breakfast was basic but more than adequate. Staff were most helpful, for example, providing additional towels to allow us to shower in a friends room prior to departure.
Disliked: There was a lot of noise outside our room early on our last morning due to road resurfacing work. We should have been warned about this by the hotel.
