  Would stay here again

Liked: Smaller family run hotel. We enjoyed the personal feel. Appreciated the staff. Could walk to downtown, but also used the bus. Very close to the Adige Cycle path, so we started our ride from here.

Disliked: We are seniors travelling with backpacks. Large suitcases would have been more challenging to carry up the stairs.

Liked: Clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The fact that we could order a meal in the restaurant in the evening was very convenient and the food was made with love.

All round good and we would stay again

Liked: We had a nice breakfast and we had a coffee in the car one evening that was not expensive but good. We also got free bus tickets sent digitally to my phone to get into central Bolzano which is definitely worth visiting. We also were able to park easily.

Disliked: A little dated but clean and comfortable. However the air co conditioning blew out on top of a wardrobe away from the double bed so so had little impact.

Liked: Very friendly and kind manager/host; the complimentary Sudtirol guest travel pass was very helpful for transportation.

Excellent value for money, guest-oriented small hotel

Liked: I was really impressed with the Albergo Hofer. When we arrived, the owner showed us where we could park, got us settled in, made restaurant recommendations, got us South Tyrol public transport tickets for bus, gondola and small train. Even though the hotel is not in the city centre, it was 20 min. on the bus, which was no problem. There was air conditioning in the rooms (temperatures outside were close to 100 Fahrenheit) and breakfast was substantial. I would definitely recommend the Albergo Hofer to anyone wanting to go to Bolzano and I plan on staying there again.

  Disliked: nothing.
