Liked: loved the location. In the heart of the tourist sites. Ferrara was a wonderful town to explore.
We really enjoyed our stay at La Scarana. Our host Marjan was INCREDIBLE. She was kind and extremely helpful
Liked: Its position & cleanliness. Our host Marjan is one of the most helpful & generous people.
Disliked: The 2 flights of stairs were a little steep but to be expected in old buildings.
Liked: Wonderful host. Even picked us up at the railway station during the heat wave and took us back as well. Lovely person. Eveything worked well and we had aircon in lounge and bedroom (we were there during the heatwave). The place is very close to the city centre, so all the main tourist sites are in walkable distance. Thwre are even bikes avialable if you wish

Liked: This property is spotlessly clean and our hostess Marjan was so generous with her time and information, and left us extra treats in the apt to settle in. The free bikes were fantastic to explore the city and surrounds and the apt was so central to the Old Town and the sights to see. Highly recommend staying in La Scarana and enjoying Marjan’s hospitality and experience.

Absolutely brilliant and highly recommended
Liked: Where do we start? From Marjan’s friendly welcome to her farewell we felt right at home. She could not have done more to make our stay in her beloved Ferrara more comfortable. Her thoroughly organised introduction to the apartment and the town was the most helpful and exhaustive we have ever experienced. We especially welcomed the fly screens neatly stopping anymore insect nightly visits. Air con in both rooms were a real bonus. The apartment exceeded our expectations and we were able to explore the city right from the start with all the info at our fingertips. The location was terrific in that we were within easy walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. The kitchen was fully equipped but we decided to eat out all three nights to enjoy the Italian cuisine - which was plentiful and varied. For such a central location it was surprisingly quiet too. Would stay here if back in Ferrara, no question.
Disliked: Trying hard to think of a negative but can’t, sorry…
