  I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this place

  Liked: The location was perfect — right inside the Sassi old town, and it was very easy to walk to all the main squares. The room was really comfortable with great attention to detail, and the breakfast was very generous. Nicola, the host, was wonderful — he helped transfer our luggage to the next hotel and gave us lots of useful local information.

  Perfect location walking distances to both sides of Sassi excellent food and breakfast was a treat

  100% recommend!!!

  Liked: We absolutely LOVED our stay from the beginning until the end. Nicola, the host, received us very warmly and showed us to our (upgraded!) space, gave us a map of Matera with a recommended itinerary with spots for sightseeing, eating and enjoying this beautiful town. In the morning him and his father prepared a simple and delicious breakfast with their family-produced olive oil and tomatoes, with great conversation and making us feel at home. Also, the B&B is super central and all feels very immersive, as you're sleeping in one of the typical caves of the city.

  Disliked: Nothing, really. Wish we had stayed for longer:)

  Absolutely stunning property

  Liked: What a beautiful place to stay. Turned out the best stay of our trip. So so gorgeous and clean. The cave room is so beautiful like please do yourself a favour by staying here! Plus the breakfast is top notch. So authentic. And Niccola and Giovanni are so helpful and sweet. They even offered a ride up to our car parking as we had huge bags with us. Such a helpful gesture. Loved it!!!

  Perfecto

  Liked: Nicola met us on arrival and welcomed us with a map and description of area. We stayed in the house and it was spotless. Went to Pietra Viva (one of Nicola’s recommended restaurants) for dinner. The pumpkin ricotta ravioli was perfect. Breakfast is a sweet setting together with other travellers.
