  Liked: The area is perfect. Breakfast was nice and the lady made the best cappuccinos of this trip! They were nice.

  Disliked: The first night was in a room on the bottom floor. They had just turned off the AC and the floor heat on. It was incredibly hot in the room with no control over the temperature. They gave us a fan but it was insufficient and very, very loud. The window opened into the entryway to the hotel so sleeping with it wide open was not an option - particularly since I had left my nightshirt, etc in the car to reduce luggage carrying weight. The bed was extremely squeaky and made noise every time one of us moved. Needless to say, we didn't really sleep. They moved us upstairs the next night. It was a very nice room and away from the floor heat so that was great. The bed was the same model and still squeaked but not like the first one. I would not stay again. Summer is probably fine with the AC but the beds squeaking is really unacceptable.

  Fantastic location in the middle of historic centre

  Liked: Amazing location with views over Sassi Caveoso and prehistoric caves. Friendly staff and delicious room service breakfast.

  Liked: We stayed in the room upstairs with an incredible view. Very comfy bed and crisp bedding. Excellent breakfast on your order. Right in the centre. Great parking garage close by for 10EU per day.

  Unforgettable experience

  Liked: Stunning authentic experience of Caves- fantastic lighting, great shower, bathroom, fridge. Fantastic breakfast options and room service is included.

  Disliked: Small chairs in room and would be nice to have additional pillows.

  Great stay!

  Liked: Excellent central location for tourists, good room facilities (everything worked), and good breakfast + hotel management was very responsive to requests

  Disliked: the layout of the hotel in this unique part of Matera means there is some inevitable evening noise
