  Very nice and romantic location

  Liked: Very nice location within the Stassi. Shower was very nice and it was very nice to have our own outside seating area. There is a music school close by, and it was very nice to sit outside and hear them practice.

  Once in a lifetime experience!

  Liked: Perfect location! Great food selection! Rented two rooms. Romantic cave with cute outdoor courtyard and table. Apartment was also spacious. A little walk from each other.

  Our stay was wonderful and we loved being right in the middle of the 'action' with restaurants, taxi

  Liked: We were greeted as we walked down the street from the Taxi drop off at the top of the hill. Luigi Vito welcomed us and took our suitcases all the way down the hill and directly to our room. He was gracious and helpful in ever way. He even reserved his favorite Ape Tour driver, Andrea!

  Disliked: We did not have a way to heat our rooms and it got a bit chilly in the night. The second bedroom had a small twin bed that was very uncomfortable though the couch worked ok for our stay.

  Matera at its best!

  Liked: The room we stayed in was the Superior Suite Bifora and it was fabulous. Lots of room to move around and well stocked for a quick breakfast and snacks. the room had the added bonus of the wine cellar which was nice. The host was great with helping us to get to the room from the office as it is about 100 meters away with 30-40 steps. This Cave Room made you feel right in place with the city of Matera.

  Disliked: My only complaint would be better communication about the parking. We arrived to Matera via car and the host provided us with information about how to contact the operator of the parking area and would provide a shuttle to the property from there. I contacted the parking as directed and received an automated response to provide additional details which I did and then no response back from them. I drove to the address and was unable to locate anyone to help us park. We ended up parking a couple of blocks away with no shuttle to the property, but mapping the location it showed a not too long of a walk to get there, but that didn't tell us about the rough walkways and many stairs to carry suitcases down. It was very difficult. On our departure the host provided a shuttle service back to our car which was the way to go and wishing we had that shuttle on arrival. A memory to laugh about.
