  Unforgettable stay with view to die for in the heart of the Sassi

  Liked: Had an unforgettable stay at the B&B in Matera. Great location in the heart of the Sassi with a view that I will never forget. I sat on the balcony for hours just staring at the ancient town. The host was exceptional and even drove me to the bus stop on checking out. Great breakfast of your choice is included. Rooms are basic but comfortable.

  Great value and great location. Poor breakfast

  Liked: Fantastic location! No need to drag suitcases up the steep streets. Bus stops right in front. Simona was so kind and helpful

  Disliked: Breakfast. The little bar serves ok coffee, juice from a carton and really forgettable sandwiches and pastries. Seating is minimal and uncomfortable.

  Best time in Matera

  Liked: Location was excellent, the room has everything you need and is big and comfy. The host went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed and she was amazingly nice.

  Comfortable stay at a great location

  Liked: Really comfortable stay (comfy bed and air conditioning) at an amazing location. I would note to bring smaller luggage to reach as there are lots of steps to the bnb. The host was very helpful and gave us great recommendations. Decent price and the views from the bnb are amazing.

  Disliked: Slightly noisy but there is some soundproofing. Also note that the breakfast option is at a nearby cafe that only offers croissant, coffee, and juice so quite small and no choices (but at least it was tasty and the cafe owner was friendly).

Good to know

La Casa Nei Sassi is located in a limited traffic area, it is not possible to access with cars. We recommend the underground parking located in via Saragat, at a cost of 0.50 cents per hour. From the entrance of the parking lot, the "Linea Sassi" bus leaves every half hour and will take you to the historic center. The stop near the B & b is No. 5.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
