  The two bathrooms inside two bedrooms didn't meet our requirements

  Liked: Great location in the middle of the Sassi close to lots of very good restaurants. Very modern and beautifully designed and decorated apartment. Excellent welcome pack. Friendly host. Good kitchen that is well equipped. Lovely ensuite bedroom on ground floor. Fabulous bathroom in that ensuite. The bedroom downstairs and the one on the ground floor have beautiful big windows overlooking the gravina. The double beds in the ground floor and upstairs bedrooms are comfortable.

  Disliked: The two bathrooms are in the master bedroom on ground floor and in the upstairs bedroom which is basically an attic room with low ceilings. The downstairs bedroom.(basement) has no bathroom and I slept there resulting in me having to use one of the bathrooms in my friends' bedrooms. This proved very inconvenient, especially during the night. A bathroom in the hall would greatly enhance this apartment. The shower in the upstairs bedroom is in a bath and the water splashes everywhere and because of the low ceiling, it is difficult to use. The upstairs bedroom is dark. A person with mobility issues might find this bedroom challenging. The two single beds in the downstairs (basement) bedroom are narrow for an adult. We were three seniors - friends who stayed 6 nights - probably longer than average so were more inconvenienced than most people would be.

  Immaculately beautiful and in great location

  Liked: Design aesthetic, immaculate presentation, generous offering of sweet and savoury food and fruit upon arrival. Attentive and very helpful host. Exceeded expectations from photos and was in a fabulous location. Highly recommend this place!

  Immaculate Property with Stunning Views, but Beware of the ZTL Zone

  Liked: The place was absolutely immaculate, very clean and beautifully maintained. The views were fantastic, and the house had many lovely details that made our stay extra special.

  Disliked: The only issue is something future guests arriving by car should be aware of. The apartment is located within a ZTL (limited traffic) zone, and entering this area by car can result in a substantial fine. The host had informed us not to drive down a particular street, but it was not made sufficiently clear that entering the zone could lead to a fine. We were unable to find the address provided by the host on Google Maps, so we entered the apartment's address as our destination instead. Had we known that driving into the ZTL zone could result in a fine of several hundred euros, we would certainly have paid much closer attention to the signage. Aside from this, the property was outstanding, and we had a wonderful stay.

  Liked: We liked everything about our stay at Lamia Matera. The property and its location are fantastic. A special touch was fresh fruit and yummy crossiants and cakes. Eustacchio is a great host!!

  Liked: The owners met us upon arrival, parked the car in the garage for us, gave us a tour of the house, left us with an amazing variety of breakfast/brunch foods, and were available for any questions that arose. Fabulous hosts!

  Disliked: Everything was perfect. A fantastic place to stay. We only wish that we were able to stay longer or that more of our accommodations were as quiet and comfortable as this.
