  Liked: We had a lovely stay! The location was fantastic, with beautiful views of Matera. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Paola and her husband was very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it!

  Great

  Liked: The host was FANTASTIC, the room with view and a bath in the bedroom, was superb. It was a self- serve breakfast, which meant you could have it whenever you liked. Thank you, Paola, for calling the taxi for us and navigating our language barriers.

  Disliked: We were really happy with our room and with the view.

  Perfect location near Matera’s historic center

  Liked: We had a wonderful stay in Matera! The location was perfect, within walking distance of the historic center. The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning, and the accommodation was spacious and spotlessly clean. The host was very kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Our dog was also welcome, which we really appreciated. Another big plus was the parking nearby, which was free, spacious, and very convenient. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Matera!

  Disliked: The only downside was the mattress, which was extremely soft and uncomfortable. We had a hard time sleeping and getting a good night’s rest. We also noticed that a previous guest had made the same comment, so hopefully the host will consider upgrading the mattress, as it would make a big difference to the overall comfort of the stay.

  It is good place but not for everyone

  Disliked: High stairs (no elevator) The room from the street side was very noisy. Motorcycles were speeding and roaring until 3:00AM.

  Disliked: Privacy was a major issue for us during our stay, as there were simply too many people in one house. Unfortunately, the room was not very clean, and we found mold in the bathroom, which led us to leave the property early and find alternative accommodations. I don't want to sound unfair, as I honestly believe the house has a lot of potential. However, significant changes need to be made regarding cleanliness and capacity management. I hope this review is taken as constructive feedback so positive improvements can be made for future guests.
