  Uniquely authentic hotel

  Liked: Excellent authentic Sassi accommodation. Very comfy beds, nice showers. Staff is doing great, and Christina is absolutely magnificent with her help and advices on the town hidden paths and food choices. The evening views toward the old town from the hotel's cafe terrace are out of this world. Would certainly recommend this place for fellow travelers looking for quiet accommodation at the center of the things.

  Liked: We were delighted at the detail of this property! Our room was beautiful and so modern to actually be a “cave”! It was in a fabulous location with lovely views of the town. The restaurant was so convenient and a great place to eat, drink and soak up the views!

  Liked: Great location convenient to all restaurants, shops and sights in Matera. Bonus is having the inclusive breakfast on the terrace over looking town. Hotel room was spacious and very clean. Staff were exceptional. Highly recommended for your stay in Matera.

  Excellent Cave room experience and amazing location for views

  Liked: Excellent experience in a Cave room. Just incredible location of room and being able to walk straight onto the terrace which has one of the best views in Matera. Beautiful breakfast and great staff - especially Kristina on the front desk - very helpful.

  Disliked: I feel with the price of the room that as a hotel guest to not have a table reserved on the terrace for breakfast is not the best option. As the terrace is open to the public from 8.15am so you are completing with non hotel guests.
