  Would like to be back

  Liked: Awesome location, awesome room, awesome service. Enjoyed every moment in Matera and in hotel room. If you travel by car, there is a big paid parking nearby with many spots.

  Liked: Just ouside of the Sassi. Very walkable. Quiet, comfortable.

  Disliked: only 1 chair in room. Had to sit on bed to be comfortable. No one at the hotel until check in time.

  Comfortable & clean. Check out Salvador Dali in Sassi area

  Liked: The location was good especially for the Sassi. A good check in experience. A local restaurant was recommended but fully booked so we managed to get a table for an early dinner nearby.

  Disliked: I’m quite short but still managed to hit my head on the tilting ceiling when getting near the window to watch the lightning storm in the early hours. Also strangely the room didn’t have a coffee machine - only kettle. I think this is unusual in an Italian place.

  Excellent accommodation, steps away from the Sassi di Matera Ruins

  Liked: This hotel is very well located, just a couple of steps from the entrance to the ruins of Sassi di Matera. The owners, Anna and Mariella, offered great service and advised on dining options and offered tours in town. The room was spacious and, like all other parts of the hotel, superbly renovated. A good Breakfast was served in a small adjacent coffee shop. Parking was available in a large, public parking building just opposite the hotel, which was great.

  Disliked: Carrying our suitcases up the stairs was definitely an undertaking, but we managed.

  Liked: The host was very responsive/communicated well. The location was perfect, so close to the main sites to see but still very quiet. The room was comfortable me and would recommend to others as great value.
