  Liked: Location very nice, beautifull view to Sassi from the balcony. The room was quite small but functional and tidy same as the bathroom.

  Stay in Matera in early October

  Liked: We stayed in Residence Le Vie del Mosto this October 2026 for a night in Matera. The experience was very good. The accommodation is in the top of Sassi Barese, very close to the new and old center of Matera. The Superior room is very spacious, was clean and had incredible views to the rest of the Sassi Barese. The communication with the host and service team was fluent and clear. We would consider to book again, shall we visit Matera in the future.

  Disliked: Slight smell to humidity, common in the Sassi due to the type of construction (e.g. caves).

  Book if staying in matera specially room Vigna

  Liked: The location. It’s an amazing view of Matera from the property itself and it has a small terrace with a seating of two from where one can enjoy the views. Easily accessible, a two minute walk from the main street. Clean comfortable rooms, don’t feel like you’re in a cave room, decent breakfast. Helpful and accommodating host.

  Disliked: The lighting could be an issue for someone who enjoys bright lighting. Appropriate for us.
