Amazing view, excellent level of comfort

Liked: The standout feature was the amazing view, and the little private balcony. The bed was huge. The property was located right in the middle of the old historic area of Matera.

Disliked: Sufficient pastries offered at breakfast for the number of people, more could be served if request made. The server was very friendly and helpful.

    Perfect two nights in Matera

Liked: Lovely room with a balcony. Shower excellent and the view of the Sassi from the balcony was to die for. Host very responsive. Breakfast small but nice

    One croissant for two people

    Liked: Fridge in side

Disliked: The breakfast was rather disappointing and quite limited. The selection was very minimal, with mainly sweet items and industrial-style pastries, and there were no savoury options. For example, only one croissant was served for two people, which felt a little restrictive. Regarding the check-in, the Booking.com listing states that the information needed to access the property would be provided 24 hours in advance. Unfortunately, we had to call several times on the day of our arrival to obtain the access codes, even though we were already standing in front of the property and had arrived within the indicated check-in hours. The welcome also felt rather cold, which was a little unpleasant, especially as it was our first time staying at this property. On the other hand, we were reminded several times that check-out was at 10:00, which felt somewhat excessive given the difficulties we experienced with the check-in. Overall, we believe that a warmer welcome and better communication regarding the check-in process would significantly improve the experience.

Liked: A comfortable base to explore the old town of Matera. Located in the old streets so all the sights are close by, with beautiful views from outside the front door. The quadruple room was very spacious with 2 bathrooms. Although the booking said no windows, there were a couple of small windows to let light in. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very friendly. Highly recommended.

A suburb B&B, right in the heart of the historic township. Highly recommend

Liked: The room was suburb. Close to the main city area, this building and the buildings around the accommodation were breathtaking. We found parking in a nearby street, left our car there and were able to walk everywhere. The room itself had the modern features but in a historic building, and navigating around the historic centre from the room was very easy and convenient. Communication with the owner was excellent, particularly as we arrived on a very special day for the town. Having breakfast provided was an added bonus and very tasty.

    Disliked: It was all perfect
