  An enjoyable stay in Montecatini Terme

  Liked: A great location, in a quiet side street less than 10 walk to the train station and even less to the centre, spa's and park. Pleasant welcome at reception by Vincenzo in proper old style hotel foyer, with comfortable arm chairs etc. Basic but comfortable room. Excellent breakfast ( try the hot chocolate ), large buffet selection with home made pastries. Very good VFM.

  Disliked: The only thing, it took a little time for hot water to come out of the shower. Nothing else.

  Overall good stay

  Liked: Very nice old style hotel. Very kind receptionist. And good location close to the main piazza.

  Disliked: Towels and blanket have clean stains. They should be replaced.

  Great accommodation in a great little spa town

  Liked: Very polite and helpful hosts, very clean hotel with great location near to the prettiest parts of Montecatini. We liked everything about the accommodation. Bare in mind that Montecatini lives early in the morning and late at night, so it might get noisy. But it's a beautiful place to visit, great air, great atmosphere, great spas and beautiful architecture in Art Deco and Liberty style. Feels like 1920s. And it's close to the sea, around 40 minutes by car. It was our 2nd stay in Montecatini and I would certainly go back again.

  Clean & comfy without the trimmings

  Liked: Very kind and always helpful staff, particularly the lovely Mary who runs a tight ship and is an excellent cook - her breakfast cakes were delicious. Rooms are very clean, but basic, with limited TV channels, and a system that is not really air conditioning and struggled in the hot days. Beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. Bathrooms whilst clean, only have the fabric sheets for towels and problematic showers. Take your ear plugs! Location is handy and walkable, and lots of local bars and eating options within minutes. If you’re on a budget and want clean and basic, this is the place, otherwise select the next category up.

  Liked: Everything was good

  Disliked: Lights in room not good. Wery dark. Recomend for ovner change lamps. Aircon in 1 of ordered room not working. All the rest was super.
