  Friendly hotel in lovely part of town

  Liked: The staff were all excellent, the pool was clean with towels provided, located at the edge of the park with access to funicular and easy walk to restaurants and trains.

  Disliked: Breakfast was adequate but repetitive and coffee from machine not great. No kettle in the room so no coffee until restaurant opened at 7.30. Small inconveniences though, overall good experience

  Liked: Rooms were a very generous size with the added bonus of a rather unique walk in wardrobe. The location to all attractions was perfect.

  Liked: Location was perfect to allow walking to the main strip, restaurants, shops, parks, spa facilities and to the funicular to Alto.

  Great location, value for money, food a little disappointing

  Liked: Montecatini Terme is a lovely, quiet leafy town with some very nice cafes and restaurants. The hotel location is perfectly placed near to the park the lovely Vialle Verdi, the spa and the main square. (See photos). We came by train and it’s around a 20 minute walk away from the station. The funicular up to Montecatini Alto is just a 10 minute walk and well worth going. At the hotel the front bar and seating areas inside are very pleasant. It has a lovely, well-kept frontage and pool area. It’s very pleasant to enjoy early or late evening drinks there. The swimming pool was a real bonus to our stay and we used it a lot. The bed was comfortable and everything spotlessly clean. The staff were mostly very friendly and all were very helpful.

  Disliked: We’d rate the breakfast between adequate -nice. The best features were the croissants and yoghurt cake and the mozzarella balls and tomatoes were nice with crusty bread. The machine yoghurt was awful. Grapes were left to go brown after serving them several days running. Take out breakfast wouldn’t be hard to improve - we had to get an early train and were provided with two tiny, unbuttered sandwiches, bottled water and an apple. We had an evening meal there just once - my husband’s meal came with mash which looked like grey, salty and sloppy like you get from powdered mash. The rooms, though comfortable and very clean do need updating from the 70s style furniture. It was nice to have a balcony but there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room to enjoy it first thing in the morning.
