  Best place to stay in Montecatini Terme

  Liked: Wonderful place to stay, staff helpful and very friendly. Food excellent, despite being only a mile away from Montecatini Termé centre we ate in the hotel restaurant most nights. The swimming pool was probably the b at in the area. The famous funicular railway up to Montecatini Alto was only a few hundred yards away and the view from up there were truly breathtaking.

  Beautiful villa, a feel of real Tuscany

  Liked: Our 3rd visit, great location for exploring this part of Tuscany. Beautifully kept villa with the amenities available in the adjacent hotel.

  Disappointing accommodation in dire need of upgrading

  Liked: The bed was comfortable and the room was large. Parking was free. It’s midway between Pisa/Lucca and Florence. There were some nice restaurants up at Montecatini-Alto (10 minute drive).

  Disliked: Plumbing is old - no mixers - a hot tap & a cold tap, water in shower kept going hot and cold, shower rail was broken, shower box was leaky - tiles on floor were loose, no air-conditioning or heating in bedroom (thankfully the weather was coolish). The villa is in serious need of refurbishment. The breakfast in the main hotel was average at best, although the staff were very friendly. Location wise, there’s 1 pizza restaurant and a laundromat close by, but otherwise it’s a long walk or drive to anything else. You definitely need a car if you’re staying here - the train station is 30 minutes walk.
