Fabulous
perfect for a short stay in a central area
Liked: perfect for our overnight stay, super close to the train station. very friendly and helful staff
Liked: Good location, very close to the train station. Clean room with separate bathroom.
Disliked: The person who was contacting us via WhatsApp was rude with his manner of talking and asking. He was not explaining necessary information about check in. Asked us about sending our id documents with sensitive information via WhatsApp which is not ok and should be avoided due to Italian data protection.
Great cosy family run hotel
Liked: Excellent family-run hotel in a perfect location! We had a wonderful stay at Central House. It is a lovely, cozy family-run hotel situated in an incredibly central location, making it easy to get around. The owner was fantastic—very welcoming and excellent at communicating with us before and during our visit. Our room was perfectly clean, wonderfully spacious, and came with a very handy fridge. For the quality and service provided, it was also exceptionally reasonably priced. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Reggio Calabria!
Disliked: Nothing
Good choice, convenient location near trains and coaches and many eateries
Liked: Decent place with friendly staff. Right over the road from Reggio Calabria Centrale stazione. FlixBus stop is also nearby. Multiple pasticceria and a Despar, and various cheap eats nearby. Short walk to Duomo, Castello Aragonese etc. All in all a good choice. Good TV reception, which is definitely not a given in Italy!
Disliked: We had a wee mixup when it comes to communication of arrival timings. You need to be aware that it is rented apartments, with reception only at certain times. I didn't notice this detail in the advertisement on Booking.com, so there was some confusion when we arrived as to whether we could store our bags. In the end the staff came down (presumably from their other job) to help and it was all sorted out.
Liked: Nice
Disliked: Very good
Great place literally 30 seconds walk from train station!
Liked: Location, value
Disliked: The WiFi kept dropping in and out
