Fabulous little hotel wirh stunning view
Liked: Beautiful view and balcont with sunlounger, table and chairs. Electric kettle in room and left free bittled water. Also access to mini bar if required. Fantastic friendly staff and great breakfast. Alliwed us to leave baggage for a few hours the filliwing morning. Lovely central position and close to bus stop for airpirt and beach. Highly reccommend.

Liked: ++ After a 5 night stay, they stored bags overnight for me which was a lifesaver - the train station only stores suitcases during the day!! + kind and helpful staff - from receptionist to cleaner to cafe staff + location is prime +10% discount in Malevenda cafe for guest (attached at ground floor) and the tortas offered are regular and vegan (they are known for the red velvet cake) + The elevator is particularly cute, old with character. + passcode to get in lobby, card to get in apartment and room.
Disliked: - No shared hand towel in the dorm room nor electric hand dryer, you can *rent* (not buy) a hand towel or regular sized towel. -The top bunk is very high up with only a short 1.5’ gate…I didn’t feel safe as I roll around in my sleep. I put the pillow between the bed and the short gate to add height and cushion to wake me before falling over and down. -The top of the stairs to the top bunk welding is open and not padded down and I cut myself on it once which stung a lot the next day in the salt water sea and my nightgown got caught on it multiple times, so it’s really not safe.
Liked: Great place with a wonderful view from the balcony! To start off, we were welcomed at check-in by Ahmed, who was extremely friendly, showed us around, and explained everything. We were able to stay in touch with him on WhatsApp in case of any extra questions. The apartments are in an ideal location—right in the city center, with a beautiful promenade and the beach just a step away, right across the street. On the ground floor of the building, there is a cafe-restaurant where you can have breakfast, grab a coffee, eat a cake, have dinner, or enjoy a drink. The room featured a large, very comfortable bed, air conditioning that worked perfectly, a minibar, a kettle, and a hairdryer in the bathroom, among other amenities. As for minor drawbacks, there was a total lack of wardrobe space. We stayed there for 10 days and had to keep practically all our clothes in our suitcases. There were only 3 clothes hangers provided, which luckily came in handy for shirts and dresses. However, I would consider putting a small wardrobe in there:) During our 10-day stay, our room was cleaned once (fresh towels and bed linen, cleaned bathroom). The balcony door couldn't be fully closed, so the sounds of the nightlife reached us. That said, it didn't disturb our sleep at all because, after days full of excitement, we slept like babies:) These are just minor downsides that didn't affect our stay at Malalbergo in any way, and Reggio Calabria is wonderful:) I can honestly recommend this place for a stay!
