Liked: Me and my wife stayed at Salerno nel Cuore for 6 nights and loved it! Emilia and her husband were wonderful, they gave us some tips and ferry info when we arrived, had our room cleaned mid stay, and checked in with us on WhatsApp during our stay to see how we were doing and what we had been to see. The accommodation was clean, plenty of space, AC, TV with the ability to access your streaming accounts, and a kitchen, fridge and espresso machine, which were perfect for our long day trips out of Salerno. It is located in the historic centro, just outside of the touristy part, with Nonna's on the balconies and old men sitting on benches in the street. There is a great pizza place 2min walk away, with a small grocery store, amazing restaurants, and great gelato all within a 5min walk. The ferry terminal & train station are maybe a 20min walk. There is even a community centre called Morticelli in an old church at the end of the street which was playing the movie ET on the side of the church on our last night. We used it as a base for Naples, Pompeii, Amalfi, Positano, and Capri, visiting at the start of the tourist season end May/early June, so it was nice to return back to the calm of the surrounding area after the busy tourist locations. We loved our stay and love Salerno. Grazie Mille!!

Easily accessed space in quiet neighborhood. Close to many sites in old city
Liked: Located in old city. Kitchenette came in handy.
Disliked: Lower level, limited view.
Superb
Liked: It was a good location for us in old town Salerno. Our host was available for any questions we had and offered suggestions for a local market and dining. We were able to visit most sites on foot. Helpful suggestion: if you need a radiotaxi pickup to take you and luggage to the train station, use the address of the museum at the end of the street you are staying on.
Salerno is beautiful in many respects and a great jumping off point for exploring the region
Liked: Our host, Ciro, was attentive, informative and welcoming. The apartment was very clean. The location was amazing - in the heart of the old town, great cafés, bars and eateries within easy walking distance, interesting shops of all types and some spectacular places of interest. Easy to access other parts of the region too. Excellent value for money… something that is becoming a rarity.
Disliked: I couldn’t find a chopping board.🤣

Liked: A great stay, wonderful and very clean apartment with a very comfortable bed and it was a great plus to watch Prime before falling asleep! The hosts were very nice and kind and it was such a pleasure to meet them. The check in experience was smooth and fast.
Disliked: I would add a cattle as heating water in pots wasn’t that convenient. Also shower temperature problem would need to be fixed (it’s changing from hot to cold sometimes) and toilet brush was broken.
