    Charming apartment in Rinella village on Salina island

    Liked: Cute apartment within walking distance to the beach, in quiet Rinella village. Salina is 2nd largest island in the group & we took the Liberty Lines ferry, 2 hours from Milazzo. And it had a stop at Rinella on Salina island. From there only a 5 minute walk to the apartment. Up tiny stairs the apartment is a good size and has a sunny balcony with a view of the beach. Aircon is good. Short walk to the beach & to the facilities of the village including a small store, cafe, scooter rental. We hired a scooter and enjoyed exploring the rest of the island … would have been tough just to stay in Rinella. The island has steep hills & up/ down to the other towns. The owner has a local lady supporting it who is charming & helpful.

    Disliked: Unfortunately the bed was saggy and very uncomfortable. The staircase up is tiny - low ceiling & very narrow. Very difficult to get luggage up.
