  Very comfortable and well-equipped apartment

  Liked: If you want to stay at Baveno or Stresa, this apartment would be an excellent choice. The host, Catja, has left no stone unturned to make your stay comfortable. The location is central- just 2-3 minutes to the lakefront by car, and easy to get to all the local places of interest. Easy & free parking. Great views of the lake from the decks (better views than the photos indicate, as a camera cannot capture the view adequately). Good communications during booking process and WhatsApp during our stay. Simple/easy self check-in. The kitchen has all you need to cook, and a lot of extras that most apartments don’t have (e.g. stocks of olive oil, S+P, Balsamico, dishwasher sachets etc etc). There was a gift of beer and wine in the fridge awaiting our arrival. The whole setup made it like being at home: quite spacious, good beds, tons of wardrobe space, good washing machine (and lots of detergent sachets), iron and ironing board, good shower, plenty of (good quality) towels & flannels, choice of dining inside or outside, a second set of keys provided, quiet and pleasant neighbours. Good wifi. Catja gave us much information and was flexible about check-in and check-out times. We left with an unusually good feeling about the whole experience. Much better than your average offering.

  A beautiful, spotless, and exceptionally well-equipped apartment in a perfect location

  Liked: Over the years, we have stayed in dozens of apartments, and Catja’s apartment is without doubt at the top of the list. We were looking for a place that could serve as a base for trips in the Alps and to towns and attractions in the area, and the location of the apartment is ideal. Within an hour’s drive, there are countless places worth visiting. In addition, the town center is about a 10-minute walk away, so there are also great options for local restaurants and for taking boats to the islands on the lake. The apartment also has private parking, which makes traveling by car very easy. As for the apartment itself, the building is well kept, and the apartment is simply a pleasure to stay in. It feels like home. The design is bright and welcoming, and everything is very clean and well maintained. The apartment is exceptionally well equipped. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals comfortably, and there were even thoughtful products waiting for us, such as olive oil, vinegar, spices, beer, and wine. There are also several options for making coffee, a washing machine with detergent, a dishwasher with capsules, a laundry bag, door stoppers, power outlets and extension cords everywhere, and so much more... There are also three balconies, each with a beautiful view, either of the lake or of the mountains. On top of all this, Catja is the kindest, most helpful, and most gracious host we have ever met. She replies within minutes and has wonderful recommendations. Our holiday in Lago Maggiore will remain one of our most successful family vacations, and Catja’s apartment is a true gem. We cannot wait to be back.

  Exceptional

  Liked: This is our second stay, and it was as perfect as the first one. Apartment is very nice and clean, equipped with everything you may need during your stay. All the small things that are usually needed in kitchen or in bathroom are there. View from guest room and balcony is fantastic. Location is great - it is far enough from main road, but town center, boats, and railway station are within short walking distance. Super easy check-in and check-out process.

  LOVELY STAY AT LAGO MAGGIORE

  Liked: The location was excellent, within reach of everything. The host was brilliant and very helpful. The apartment was everything you could expect and more. Clean with all the facilities like home. We would surely stay there again.

  Disliked: Only consideration would be the stairs with your luggage as the apartment is on the second floor and no elevator.

  A very nice apartment with fantastic views and friendly hosts

  Liked: The apartment was very comfortable and well furnished. It had ample rooms, a fantastic terrace and breathtaking views over the Laggo Maggiore and the Borromean islands. The hosts were very friendly and had left in the apartment many useful details for travelers with short stays (ours was for three nights). We enjoyed the stay very much.

  Liked: Apartment is very nice and clean. There is everything you may need for few days or even weeks long stay - kitchen utensils, tableware, salt, pepper, olive oil, dishwasher supplies, etc. View from apartment is fantastic, and you can also enjoy it from balcony. Heating system in the house is very efficient and you can set desired temperature easily from central controller. Old town of Baveno, train station, and boat stop is 5-10 minutes walk away, and at about same distance in other direction you can find hiking trails to the mountains. From Baveno you can easily get to Borromean Islands and other towns across Lago Maggiore. For us it was perfect base for exploring the lake and its surroundings. The host, Catja, was very helpful and accommodating, and check-in/checkout process was very easy and convenient.
