Liked: ‘The Elf’ b&b has just 2 bespoke rooms forming the ground floor of a beautiful & traditional alpine house nestled in a tranquil hillside hamlet above Stresa & overlooking the lake. Beautifully renovated & designed with exposed brick walls, bamboo 4 poster bed in a spacious & light room. Many unique & personal touches created with quality and thought. Small & private relaxing garden with hot tub & sauna. The breakfast was incredible with local meat & cheeses & delicious freshly baked home made pastries & cakes.
Disliked: It was perfect
Liked: Although getting there from Stresa requires a winding road into the mountains, the location and the view are well worth it. Both the apartment and the surroundings are beautifully maintained and perfectly suited for a cozy stay. The hosts are exceptionally welcoming, helpful, and very kind. The breakfast is wonderful. The experience exceeded our expectations and it's a place you'd definitely want to return to.
Amaaaazinnnng place!
Liked: We had such a wonderful stay at B&B Il Folletto del Lago! The place is magical, the rooms were beautifully decorated and there was even a jaccuzzi where we could unwind as soon as we arrived. The hosts Andrea and his wife were so friendly and helpful! They managed to book us a table at a restaurant with a breathtaking view that was supposed to be fully booked! We will definitely come back and recommend this B&B to our friends!

Beautiful romantic B&B with friendly staff
Liked: It was beautiful and romantic, and the staff was very friendly. Their breakfast was very generous. The few was also amazing.
Disliked: The hot tub wouldn’t be considered a hot tub by American standards- the temp was in the 90s, more like a warm pool.
