Exceptional
A cracking apartment right in the thick of the action. Beautiful upmarket little town
Liked: Met with owner for entry and instuctions. All very easy. Lovely apartment absolutely ideal for us three. Great location. Perfect

Poor communication
Liked: Clean and great location.
Disliked: Communication with the owner was very poor. I didn’t not receive any check in information until I arrived to the city. The address provided was not accurate so we were logging our luggage all over town. I made multiple phone calls that were unanswered. Finally, we found the location by doing Google search. Found out the owner thought we were arriving the day after. Nightmare check in process. However, once we got in the property, everything was great.
Liked: Great location, right in the old town. Short walk to the ferry, 10-minute walk to train station, just around the corner from a supermarket. Quiet at night, comfortable beds and great air conditioning. Well equipped with nearly everything you need.
Disliked: It would have been nice if some hand soap was supplied for the bathroom! Other than having to buy that, we had everything we needed.
THE place to stay in Stresa
Liked: Very nicely refurbished in a historical building with modern gear. Excellent location. Great host. Excellent info package was received from our host before arrival. Everything is super close. Free parking (mind the Fridays) supermarket, great ice cream and restaurants. The lake is only 5 minutes walk. Don't look for other place in Stress.
Disliked: Nothing to mention here, really

Six star experience
Liked: Six stars We were a bit hesitant before our arrival. The pictures looked a bit sterile and unpersonal. We opted for the apartment due to the location. And boy what a good location it was. 3 minutes walk to the lake and the ferries to the Borromean islands. And the main restaurant square even closer. But the big surprise was how nice the apartment was. A very nice terrace with a “cabrio-roof”. All the furniture were spotless and comfortable. Very nice beds. We were travelling with our teenage daughters and they loved the bunkbedroom, which is much larger than pictured and has more of a design feel than “bunkbed”. Eventhough the location was very central there were no disturbing noice. A free public parking just next door was very convenient. (Not available on Thursdays, when the parking turns into a local market). So all in all it was a five star experience. It was after our departure it earned its´s sixth star. We had continued our Italian roadtrip. This time to a place 200 km away from Stresa. Once there I discovered that I had forgotten all my shirts in the wardrobe at Casa David. A potential disaster. I called Casa David and they went up to the apartment, got all my shirts, and sent them by UPS to our new location. I had them the next day. This is really a fantastic service and an example of great hospitality that I will remember for a long time.
