Fabulous
A beautiful and clean place with good facilities, but not ideal for travelers without a car due to the steep location
Liked: The property was very clean, had great amenities, and was located in a beautiful, scenic area.
Disliked: The location is difficult if you don't have a car. It's far from shops and supermarkets, and the walk back involves a steep uphill climb.
Relaxing place. I will be coming again
Liked: The property was really nice. The terrace was perfect for an evening talk. The room was spotless and really quiet. The fan in the room kept the temperature perfect. The bathroom was equipped with everything needed. The host was really helpful. It’s close to the station. It’s a little bit climbing but it was totally worth it for the view.
Pleasant clean room
Liked: It was a quiet area in an outer suburb. Had a terrace with tabe so could sit outside and enjoy the evenings
Disliked: Too far from town and quite hilly so it was a taxing walk to get into Stresa
Good Value Basic Accommodation. Clean Room. View of the lake. Quiet Area
Liked: Quiet area (in May). Even though we had different neighbors (next room) we didn’t hear them. Basic accommodation, but all necessities are there. We appreciated the small fridge and little table and chairs on the terrace. Salvatore guided us to parking close by.
Disliked: Nothing
I would stay here again. Lake Maggiore was my favourite out of the Italian lakes
Liked: Lovely view of lake from balcony. Very clean. Bathroom was excellent. Warm inside as our stay was during the cold season.
Disliked: This was a room only. Nothing extra. It was a bit out of town. 400m uphill to get to it. No public transport, if you did not have a car, you were walking or trying to hail the 1 taxi in town.
Good location, all essentials covered, good price and comfortable
Liked: The location was about a 20 minute walk from the main area of Stresa which was nice since we didn't feel like figuring out parking on a busy travel weekend. About halfway through the walk you are already at the boardwalk area next to the lake which is very pleasant. The lodging had a lock box to accommodate late check-ins. We drove from Germany and the Swiss highways shut down so we arrived extremely late in the night since we had to take an alternative mountain highway to reach Lago Maggiore. The apartment itself was clean, had the essentials such as a kettle, napkins, a mini fridge and such. The patio was nice with a beautiful partial view of the lake. Would stay again.
Disliked: Occasionally the host was a tad lingering. The morning after we arrived late, we noticed him walking past several times to collect the city tax and during checkout, he was right at our door at 10 am to make sure we got out. He said the cleaners were there but we didn't see anyone yet. We were out less than 10 minutes later. The apartment was nice, but spartan. We wouldn't really hang out inside it much since the lake was so close by anyways.
