  Its ok but not worth it for this money

  Liked: Very beautiful house with beautiful view.

  Disliked: The apartment was not properly cleaned. There was a blood stain in one of the sheets. There is no AC in the apartment and that made the stay impossible so we had to leave after 1 night.

  A memorable stay in an amazing part of Italy

  Liked: Perfect location for walking/driving into Stresa and surrounding towns. Property is part of an amazing building and our particular flat was a superb four-bedroom flat with large bedrooms (two ensuite) and large, comfortable beds. The property was absolutely spotless clean and has a balcony area that gives superb views over Maggiore. Overall it was a brilliant stay made very easy by the hosts and I would recommend to anyone for a relaxed stay in a great part of Italy. While there is no AC due to the age of the property, the nature of the building means it stays cool even in 32 degrees, and there are also fans provided anyway.

  Shall definitely come back!

  Liked: Everything! Excellent location- we even went for a swim in the little private beach, breathtaking views, the apartment was perfectly equipped -the chessboard kept the children busy- and clean, instructions from the host accurate, great recommendations, the building itself amazing with high ceilings. Will definitely try to stay over again!

  Beautiful period property in a wonderful position opposite the lake

  Liked: Beautiful period apartment with antique furnishings in a large restored villa immediately opposite the lake. All 3 bedrooms had access to separate bathrooms/WC, and one had a large bathtub. Very spacious sitting room and veranda with stunning views over the lake and mountains opposite. Well equipped and came with basics such as herbs, condiments, oil etc. Free parking in the grounds. The beach opposite, across the coast road, was shared with residents of the other apartments, but usually empty, and came with a large selection of seats, loungers and other equipment. Although outside Stresa, it was only a 10 minute walk along the lakeside (we're all in our 60's) passing the excellent, friendly inexpensive LOV bar serving good quality food and drinks by the lakeside. The owner, Carlo, was very helpful and responsive to messages.

  Disliked: There were a few minor niggles, which wouldn't stop us recommending it. The road between the house and lake is very busy and noisy at times, so those in the bedroom which overlooked the lake needed to keep the window and shutters closed at night. The shower cubicles are very small, and would present a challenge to anyone more than a little overweight (but the bathtub is great). The building next door appears to be undergoing major work, but in fairness, it was always quiet by 4pm each day and over the weekend, and the builders didn't play music or create excessive noise.

  Amazing property with fabulous views

  Liked: Property was a stunning building with magnificent views and great access to the lake. Very spacious apartment, with well equipped kitchen

  Disliked: 15 minute walk into Stresa, which was fine for us, but others might struggle. Car could be an advantage, especially in exploring the local area.
