Exceptional
The location and apartment were incredible and clean. The host assisted us with a car park
Liked: The best part of the apartment was the view from the veranda. Lovely sunsets, while looking over the sea, hearing the bustling activity of the restaurants, smelling the food from the kitchens below, and getting serenaded by the street performers on the promenade. The location was fantastic! The host assisted us with a car park, with only about a 7 minute walk.
Disliked: The air conditioner in the kitchen was not working.
Comfortable, with the best views in Ortiga!
Liked: This apartment has two standout features - location and the roof terrace looking out over the sea. Magic. Inside it is comfortable, with two good sized bedrooms and comfy beds. There are two bathrooms. It is walking distance to everything Ortiga has to offer and there is no end of excellent food nearby. It's also close to the sandy beach.
Disliked: One of the bathrooms was inside the bedroom - no privacy. While this may work for some, when you are travelling with a group of friends, it is a little awkward. The shower is on full display and while the toilet is behind a partial wall, it's not really private. Important to know depending on the composition of your group.
Great outdoor space
Liked: The outdoor space was fantastic. Having a washer was a plus
Disliked: Low ceilings in one of the rooms.
Lovely view, great location
Liked: Loved the view and the location! was nice to walk out and be in the middle of everything
Disliked: The check-in was a little challenging - it would have been easier to just receive the key box code in the email once paid. (lots of back and forth). There was also a snafu with the parking which was worked out. (I was also surprised that parking was 24€/day — not a biggie, just surprised as we chose this place based on amenities such as parking). One bedroom was very light and comfortable but the other felt a bit like a dungeon with no windows, and a bed that really sagged in the middle. It was fine, but if a comfy bed is super important, take note. Also, many little levels (tripping hazard LOL) and the door locks were a bit wonky. Took us many tries to get in the main door, and BTW, don’t close the door between the kitchen and the bedrooms or you won’t be able to get back into the bedrooms!! All pretty typical for an old refurbed apartment. And finally, make sure you check EVERYTHING before you leave We accidentally left a package of medication in the refrigerator (it needed to stay cool so we waited to the last minute to pack) and it was thrown away. Anyone looking in the package would have seen the vials and the syringes. The owner was very kind about it, but just an FYI.
Liked: We loved our stay in this beautiful, clean and well located apartment. The beds were very comfortable, the property was well equipped and it was fabulous being able to sit on the beautiful terrace and enjoy the view! Corrado was an excellent host and we're very happy to recommend his wonderful apartment!
