Decent apartment, but the €200 deposit could ruin your holiday
Disliked: We stayed at this apartment from October 3 to October 4, 2026, for one night. We were required to pay a €200 security deposit in cash, but the owner did not provide us with a receipt. Unfortunately, I read the reviews about the property too late, after we had already booked and stayed there. After checking out, we returned to the property that same evening to ask whether everything was fine with the apartment and whether the deposit could be returned in cash. The owner confirmed that there were no problems with the apartment, but said the deposit had to be refunded by bank transfer. The owner initially promised to return the money within seven days. When that deadline passed without a refund, he gave us another deadline of October 20, 2026, and promised to provide proof of the transfer. However, we still have not received our €200 deposit, and the owner has stopped responding to our messages. We have filed a complaint with Booking.com, and the matter is currently under review. We have also contacted the relevant authorities in Syracuse to seek guidance on how to proceed. Although the apartment itself was satisfactory, we are very disappointed with how the security deposit has been handled. We strongly recommend that future guests read the reviews carefully before booking and be cautious about paying a large cash deposit without receiving a receipt. Make sure all deposit terms and refund arrangements are documented in writing.
Stressful, still waiting for my €200 deposit back and it's almost been a month
Disliked: I tried paying the deposit using his card machine, but it didn't work, so I transferred it via bank which takes a bit longer to receive, because it's an international payment, I gave him the transaction receipt, but he was still constantly texting that he didn't receive it and that I will have to check out even though I payed for both days stay in advance. After I checked out he stopped responding to my messages and wouldn't send me the deposit back. I had to contact booking.com to ask for help, they contacted him and eventually he said he'll refund it on 22nd of October, even though I checked out on 25th of September and it states in the clause that the deposit will be refunded within 7 days of check out. Honestly, not worth it, after using booking.com for years this is the first time I had to deal with such a nonsense, the guy is super rude, also they've got ants all over the shower.
Liked: Perfect stay! Clean room, excellent service, and great location. Everything was well organized and the atmosphere was relaxing. Definitely a 10/10 experience!

Liked: A peaceful oasis surrounded by nature, with a swimming pool, water features, and animals that create a unique and deeply relaxing atmosphere. Elegant and stylish interiors, impeccably clean and equipped with every comfort and appliance you could need. A place where relaxation and beauty come together perfectly. Special thanks to the host, Tiziana, who was incredibly sweet, kind, and thoughtful. Highly recommended.

Liked: We had an absolutely perfect stay and would give this place a 10/10 without hesitation! Everything was spotless — the cleanliness was truly impeccable and made us feel comfortable from the very first moment. The property is full of comforts and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The animals were beautiful and such a lovely presence, adding a special and peaceful atmosphere to the experience. The swimming pool was stunning, very well maintained, and perfect for relaxing at any time of the day. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always available for anything we needed. Their hospitality really made the difference and made us feel at home. The entire property is designed to create a calm, cozy, and relaxing environment. Every space felt warm, inviting, and cared for with attention to detail. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway!

Liked: We stayed for one night and had a wonderful experience! The house is very clean, spacious, modern, and equipped with excellent Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The kitchen is fully equipped, the pool is beautiful, and the outdoor areas are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The location is ideal as a base for exploring the island. During our stay we visited Ortigia, Noto, Modica, and several stunning beaches such as Fontane Bianche, San Lorenzo, Arenella, and Avola. One of the highlights of the property is the presence of many wonderful animals in the area, which made the stay even more special and enjoyable, especially for nature lovers. Titty, the owner, was always available and extremely helpful. She recommended excellent restaurants and even made reservations for us. She also prepared a delicious dinner for us one evening — she is truly a kind and welcoming person. We highly recommend staying at Titty’s property, especially for couples and families looking for a relaxing and comfortable place. You will not regret it.
