Enjoyable
Liked: Well appointed apartment in a nice area. Lovely restaurant nearby in a great setting.
Disliked: Issues getting the key, though the host turned up with a spare and was very apologetic. Bit of a walk to the centre of town and no shops nearby. Not an issue if you plan well.
Liked: Good self check-in instructions. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and fast wi-fi.
Disliked: Noise from the streets on both sides of the building
Very comfortable stay in a large pleasant safe location
Liked: Very large spacious 1 bedroom unit with kitchen, washing machine and clothesline. Parking in a one way street easy to find nearby outside. A/C works well. Safe and secure. Good communication with owner.
Disliked: A manageable flat walk to Ortigia which might concern some but not those who enjoy a walk. A touch distant from restaurants in the evening.
Overall, a clean, well-equipped apartment with a great host, but some noise and minor issues
Liked: Very nice, small, and clean apartment. The host was kind and provided detailed instructions for check-in and check-out, plus great recommendations for beaches, restaurants, and places to visit. The apartment is well-equipped and has everything you might need.
Disliked: The apartment is on a busy street, so it can get quite noisy at night. I had to close all the windows and use earplugs (though I’m very sensitive to noise, so this might not bother others). The bathroom window opens onto the neighbor’s small balcony, which felt a bit odd, so I made sure to keep it closed while using it. Another issue is that the entrance is inside the bedroom, so I was occasionally woken up when the neighbor entered or left their apartment. Lastly, the AC panel inside the apartment wasn’t working, which could be uncomfortable during periods of high humidity.
Liked: Clean and spacious rooms
We were completely content
Liked: The apartment was spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything you might need for a short or long stay. Salvo was incredibly helpful and provided us with all the information needed to make the most of our visit. A big plus is the free street parking, which was always easy to find. The location is also great, just about an 15 min walk to Ortigia island.
Disliked: Everything was perfect. One thing I might add is that the balcony doesn’t get any sun so the clothes don’t dry very quickly. But I’m just nitpicking at a very high level 😜
