Very good
Liked: Location
Disliked: Everithing
Nice hotel, but NO ELEVATOR
Liked: Nice location, breakfast (it's very limited, but it contains main positions), refrigerator, hair dryer, very calm, cleaning was every day, nice helpful people on reception
Disliked: I was travelling with old parents and was selecting ONLY between hotels with elevator. There is an elevator in hotel, but it never works. There is a terrible very inconvenient stairs which are very difficult for old people. If you travel with old people, avoid this hotel.
Be careful which room you choose
Liked: I really liked the traditional feel and quirkiness, others have commented its old fashioned, outdated, but I liked this about it. I thought it had charm. Yes some low maintenance required but I much prefer the style to a modern bland type of hotel. Location was very good. Bathroom spacious, lovely big sink! Good shower. The lady who did breakfast was friendly and efficient, as were the ladies who kept our room clean. Bed was really comfortable.
Disliked: The reason for my low score is, I booked a superior triple room with 'balcony with city views'. A balcony is ultra important to me, maybe more so than the room, as I like to spend time relaxing there after a busy day. What we got was a ledge surrounded by 3 brick walls, approx 8 feet high, and a hole in the roof. We could see nothing except a patch of sky for 7 days and nights as there was no other window, it was so claustrophobic, and very little natural light. Also 2 large air conditioning units are on one wall. I will be taking this up with booking.com as this description is totally wrong. Had we had a room with a proper balcony my score would have been higher. The man who checked us in shrugged and said its for privacy!!!! even though other rooms had proper balconies. Second reason for low score, apart from one lovely young lady on reception, the other staff on reception were very indifferent, seldom acknowledged us when we came and went, staying glued to their computer. Not even a hi and bye, enjoy your day.
Sabrina on reception was incredibly helpful and a credit to the Hotel
Liked: Location near to town and parking, spacious room, great staff.
Disliked: The accomodation had no lift, breakfast was too ridged, coffee made for you and could not even pour own milk over cereal…
Liked: It was a great spot, our host was very friendly, helpful and informative. The breakfast was very good.
Liked: Good location within walking distance of Ortygia. Parking in secured garage just opposite the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The bathroom was basic but adequate. Our room was small but adequate for one night and despite the location was quiet.
