  Liked: We had a wonderful stay at Il Cortiletto di Ortigia. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Ortigia and within walking distance of all the main attractions, restaurants, and the sea. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The host was friendly, responsive, and made check-in very easy. Despite being so central, the area was quiet and relaxing at night. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Syracuse

  There are many better options in Ortigia

  Liked: The location is excellent. There is a pleasant patio that is shared with the other guests staying on the property.

  Disliked: On the day of arrival, the owner sends an extremely long series of instructions via WhatsApp. The volume and complexity of these directions make the check-in process unnecessarily difficult. In fact, it would be far more appropriate for someone to be available to greet guests in person, particularly as many of the instructions are unclear or confusing. While questions may be answered, the responses are often delivered in a rather discourteous manner. The room itself is very small, has no windows, and has a noticeable damp smell. It is also important to note that parking is not permitted in the immediate area. Guests can only park nearby, wherever they are able to find a space, and only if they have a special permit, which should have been provided by the owner but was not.
