Exceptional
Disliked: Construction and glass collection started very early in the moyright outside the window
Liked: Central location, exceptional staff
Comfortable accommodation in the heart of Ortigia
Liked: Location was perfect to wander around Ortigia's streets and attractions. Room had the basic amenities. There is the option to purchase breakfast which I recommend. If needed there is a shared kitchen, but you might need to bring your own cutlery.
Disliked: Not close to public transport but this is an issue with all accommodations in Ortigia.
Would go back
Liked: Host was helpful. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean. Location was great. AC worked.
Disliked: Breakfast wasn't included.
Perfect for our families
Liked: I liked that our family and our friends’ family were in private rooms but could spend time in the shared space once the kids were asleep. The simplicity of entering the place with safety was great,the rooms are spacious and we had easy communication with Daniele. the breakfast was extra,supplemented with a ticket for 4€ to spend in a local cafe. Great value as each 4€ ticket included 1 piece of pastry,1 beverage and 1 coffee. It was delicious and made the research a no brainer.
Disliked: The early morning noises from the cleaning of the street. So if you were a sensible sleeper,I’d suggest to wear ear buds.
Decent place in a good location
Liked: The location is excellent with restaurants, a grocery store, and gelato a stone’s throw away.
Disliked: The bathroom hadn’t been properly cleaned; there was hair in the trash and in the shower. It was, however, cleaned during our stay. Toilet seat was loose. Paying the bill involved meeting up with the staff on the first morning of our 2-night stay. This was OK for us but could potentially have been inconvenient if we had had to leave early that day.
