  Great modern apartment smack in the middle of old Trapani

  Liked: Easy to get to modern apartment, host was very helpful. Easy to check out. Great facilities, spacious apartment. We only spent nights there, but it was lovely

  Disliked: Don't try driving to apt, road is extremely tight.... leave your car at the parking lot 2 blocks away.

  Lovely, comfortable stay in great location

  Liked: Very nice apartment in a walkable area. The bed was very comfortable and the unit was clean. We were on the third floor, so the elevator helped with moving our luggage in and out. Good restaurants close by. Reasonable priced and limited free parking close by.

  Disliked: The only negative was a strong smell often in the unit. Assuming that has to do with old piping systems? Likely not something that is an easy fix.

  Excellent Stay in the Heart of Trapani

  Liked: We stayed at Aria di Mare Apartments for two nights during our Sicily trip and had a fantastic experience overall. The location is excellent and one of the biggest highlights of the property. It's right in the heart of Trapani, within easy walking distance of the historic center, restaurants, shops, beaches, and the main walking streets. We barely needed the car once we arrived. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable, and very well equipped. Having a small kitchen and a large refrigerator was incredibly useful for storing water, fruit, and snacks during our stay. The air conditioning worked exceptionally well, which was greatly appreciated during the Sicilian summer heat. The beds were comfortable, the bedding was nice, and the bathroom was clean, spacious, and well stocked. We also appreciated several thoughtful touches from the host, including complimentary bottled water, a beach umbrella for use during our stay, and a drying rack for wet clothes after visiting the beach. The building has an elevator as well, which made transporting luggage much easier than many other historic properties we stayed at throughout Sicily. The host was friendly, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. We primarily communicated through WhatsApp and always received prompt and helpful responses.

  Disliked: A few notes for future travelers. Finding the property can be a little tricky on your first arrival. The streets are one-way, and it's very easy to miss the best unloading spot. We recommend heading to the small piazza directly in front of the building to unload your luggage before parking. If you miss it, you'll likely have to make a fairly large loop around the block to get back. We also spotted two small dead cockroaches during our stay. While no one likes to see that, it was isolated to one of the three apartments we rented, and the insects were already dead. Given the age of many of the historic buildings in the area, this can occasionally happen. It appeared the property was actively treating the issue, and it did not impact our overall experience. One suggestion for improvement would be providing guests with a little more information before arrival regarding navigation, unloading luggage, parking options, and ZTL considerations. After some research, we found Parking Andros, located about an 11-minute walk away outside the ZTL zone. It cost €20 per day and offered secure garage parking with 24/7 access after providing approximately 15 minutes' notice. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was comfortable, well equipped, centrally located, and hosted by genuinely helpful people. If you're looking for a great place to stay within walking distance of everything that makes Trapani special, Aria di Mare Apartments is an excellent choice. We would happily stay here again on a future visit.

  Perfect location to explore Trapani

  Liked: Ideal location 5mins walk to old town 10 minutes to the closest beach Clean & fresh

  Disliked: Could have done with extra seating in the lounge area, sleeps up to 5 but only comfortable lounge area seating for 3 max Listing states balcony included, please note this is not a balcony you can sit out on but more a foot deep hang your washing out balcony, very typical in Italy
