Guest reviews
Good
Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception, and at the restaurant
In declino
Liked: Very close to the train station, breakfast was sufficient. The catering and bar staff were lovely and helpful.
Disliked: The reception staff are not particularly welcoming. The room smelt like stale cigarette smoke, and when reporting that it was clear someone was smoking in the bathroom above me and smell was travelling into mine via vents, very little was done to resolve this.
Liked: Location
Excellent - would recommend
Liked: Excellent accommodation. Large, comfortable, clean room- the bath was a bonus! Everything I needed for a one night stay. Breakfast was excellent - both variety and quality. A 15 minute walk from the arena, and 25 mins from the centre of town. Very close to train station. Able to leave my bag for the day after check out, good efficient system for this in place. Good value for money overall, I felt.
Disliked: Not the hotel’s fault - the walk from the town centre does involve crossing some busy roads (not all drivers stop even when the lights are on green). Also the zebra crossing from the tunnel to the front of the hotel is not so visible for pedestrians or cars!
Long weekend away
Liked: To be honest, there wasn't much that I liked the only thing I liked was the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was okay.
Disliked: The location was too far away from the centre. We came home early one night to have a drink at the bar and the bar had no atmosphere furniture was dated and dirty. the Sunday morning we went down for breakfast. There were no plates, no bowels for cereal and no cups for coffee we were giving paper cups
