  Splendid

  Liked: Beautiful spacious 2 person apartment on a top location in the middle of the historic center from Volterra. Museums and restaurants, you can walk there easily to all of them. Smooth key procedure.

  Disliked: Only negative was no extra pillows. Only 1 pillow per person an extra pillow would have given comfort 10/10

  Pleasant stay in one of the most quaint Tuscan towns

  Liked: There was a glitch - not caused by the host, but by you guys, at booking.com:-) - and the host was very proactive in solving it. The flat is pleasant, with a very nice walk-in closet, and a nice bathroom. Very good fixtures.

  Disliked: The whole flat could do with a refresh. The alternative accommodation provided was sub-par big time (I had, however, declared max flexibility, so I am the one to blame). Still.

  It was the best stay I have ever had!

  Liked: The house was spotlessly clean, beautiful, with water and pastries included. The location was amazing - it’s in the city Volterra, but away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. Wonderfully quiet and safe neighbourhood. As a solo woman traveller, safety and convenience is my N1 priority. I came to Volterra to attend Matteo Bocelli’s concert in Lajatico. Elena, the host, was the most amazing and reliable host I ever interacted with! She was very responsive, supportive and kind. She found me a taxi driver, but hearing that it’s expensive for my budget, she kindly found and arranged a reliable, responsible and trustworthy driver! Who came and picked me up right from my door and collected me from the venue. We agreed with the driver for collection at 23:00 but I left the concert 10min earlier - and guess what - he was already at the parking area waiting for me. Opened the door, offered water, asked how was it etc. I felt like a queen and nothing else! It was an unforgettable experience and the best vacation in my whole life thanks to Elena, the host and Alessandro! I am recommending this property to my friends and will come back again! Grazie mille, Elena and Alessandro!

  Disliked: Everything was amazing! Wifi could be better but we don’t come to Volterra to use wifi heavily so not a big problem!

  Liked: The location of the property in Volterra is superb. Whilst an easy 5 minute stroll to the ample bars and restaurants, the property was in a very quiet location, within the medieval city walls, and within a 1 minute walk of the gate of the town. It made for a great place to relax and had easy access from the multiple car parks situated outside of the city walls. The property itself was furnished to a high standard, had everything you need, and was extremely clean. Both bedrooms had ceiling fans, which, along with the very old, thick walls, ensured a great, cool night's sleep despite temperatures in the 30s while we were there. There is no need at all for air conditioning. Ample window shutters kept the sun at bay, and nets at each window allowed for fresh air without the fear of the dreaded mosquitoes.
