Good location for a great town

  Liked: Location

Disliked: Don’t like choosing between room cleaning and a free drink. Hotels should service their rooms. People’s jobs depend on it.

Liked: 1. Check-in was polite, friendly and efficient. Top marks for the Duty Manager (mid-day 29 Oct). 2. Good shower. 3. Adequate breakfast, but no bacon and sausages (hotel policy), but there were baked beans and scrambled eggs, freshly cut fruit, yoghurt, Keizer rolls, croissants, hot coffee and uncut fruit to take away. Also cold meats and sliced cheeses, tomatoes and cucumber slices. 4. If you are in a hurry, they will supply you with a doggy bag. 5. Supplied me with milk for morning tea ritual.

Disliked: 1. The room doors make a huge bang when closing door on leaving the room. You cannot pull the door closed softly (poor design choice), so guests inevitably bang doors and disturb sleepers. 2. Carpets outside lift was littered with debris. Reported to Reception but it lwas not cleared up during my stay.
