  Liked: I loved the idea of being in the bamboo jungle

  Disliked: In the night it was pretty dark when you wanted to go to the toilet/bathroom. My room had no trash can and it was uncomfortable when you wanted to trash something quickly. Futhermore, one door couldn't be locked properly.

  Oasis near the city

  Liked: We stayed in the treehouse, the only cabin with its own toilet, so my review is based on a specific cabin with features not available in the others. I really liked this location. It has great vibes! You can tell it is sometimes used as an event venue, with a token kiosk out front and an area where you could easily host a festival. The rest of the property is an oasis of green and calm right near Groningen. You can still hear some traffic and the train, and if you look closely you can spot a few high-rises, but other than that, you are right in nature. That feeling is enhanced by the animals wandering around; they have peacocks and rabbits roaming freely across the grounds. The room was very nice, featuring a large balcony where you could sit and relax. The bed took up about half the space in the cabin, and it was honestly one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Having an en-suite toilet was a huge plus, saving us from having to navigate the stairs in the dark to reach the shared bathhouse at night.

  Disliked: The only issue worth noting is the lock situation. First, our cabin door could not be locked from the inside, so we had to sleep with it unlocked. Anywhere else, this would have been a real problem, but because the site felt so peaceful and safe, we let it slide. Another issue was the shower in the shared bathhouse: the individual shower stall door couldn't be locked, leaving the only option to lock the outer entrance to the entire building, which locks other guests out of the shared toilets. Checking and fixing the locks on both private and common spaces is definitely something I would recommend to the owner.
