Liked: All the areas where clean
Disliked: All property where clean / inside the water park we arrive at 3 pm while we drop the bags around. We were super hungry we went to the park restaurant they said they didn’t have food:( nothing.. it was sad.. water park close 6 pm thank god I bought turkey sandwich on the way for the little one who has autism parkison.. we calm urbe we manage to bring stuff.. basically your staying you need to bring your own stuff.. I bought protective gear swimming for the autistic girl need air NO ONE help us they send us to a guy.. staff around the pools once said “DO IT YOURSELF “ if I had lungs but I had stomach surgery I can’t blow:( … staff around pool are not friendly and the RESTAURANT in the picina de ondas she was so rude … like we are obliging her to work.. the girls in the souvenir store she was KIND helpful - reception lady both were gently and friendly:) Gorgeous stay, but you need to come prepared..
Average accommodation, nice staff, good waterpark
Liked: I liked the location just outside Amarante although there are a good few steep and narrow cobble roads that you need to drive on to get there. At first I thought Google Maps must be sending me the wrong direction for sure. There's no way a big waterpark is near here based on these narrow winding roads. The staff were lovely. The grounds where the chalets were located were very well kept. The groundsmen were very diligent in keeping the place neat and tidy and watered the plants and grass. The loungers near the chalets were lovely to lay down on and relax. Car park near the chalets was great. Obviously, the proximity to the waterpark is ideal. A 1min walk from the chalet and your at the entrance. It was quite funny watching the older generation people coming out of a building near the chalets and most of them appeared quite tipsy. They seem to enjoy their wine. Good hard sofa bed which was easy to put into sleeping / sitting position. I like them rock hard and this didn't disappoint.
Disliked: Our 1 bed chalet had no windows that could be opened. I asked for a change and was told they would look into it but they never got back to me after that. That was disappointing. We were leaving the door open at night time (don't like leaving AC on all night as I usually end up getting a cold from it) to keep cool. The hob was pretty useless. Took about 10mins to boil water for a cup of tea. Not much cutlery. Shower pipe burned me when I accidentally touched off it when closing the shower door. Should be a label on it to indicate it can be very hot. There were no instructions on where we should park so we were guessing on the 1st day where we were supposed to leave the car. The slides are spaced quite far apart from each other so there's a lot of walking to and fro between sifferent slides. Not a huge amount of shade so you're better off getting an umbrella. For people staying in the chalet, I think this should be included as a benefit.

Disliked: took me some time to figure out how it works and finding it; specially at night is not straight forward.

Comfortable unit, quiet area, nice outlook
Liked: We only stayed 1 night as we were on our way back to Spain so just needed somewhere to sleep. We stayed in Unit 8 which was a large unit with multiple beds. The shower was excellent, the supplied amenities were good. The beds were comfortable and there were spare pillows. This is a quiet country area with a lovely outlook. We had a car and parking was onsite and free.
Disliked: We arrived to find no reception area and no one around. Apparently check-in is usually at the water park but this was closed for the season. I had to phone to find where the keys were and then again to get the wifi password. Also be aware that Unit 8 has multiple stairs from the doorway up to the bedroom and also from the doorway down to the lounge room, kitchen and other bedroom if you are not up to carrying your luggage up and down lots of stairs.
