  Liked: Large modern hotels with spacious comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean, two pools, lovely helpful staff, an easy stroll into the old town for cafes etc

  Not as pleasant as other hotels in Portugal

  Liked: The hotel was fine but definitely not a four star. The room was big they did give me an upgrade which was wonderful but there was an order in the room that came from the vents. The front desk staff was excellent but the breakfast staff were so unfriendly! The coffe machine broke and it took them 4 days to fix it. The same food was put out for the entire week no variety and staff was slack in replacing empty portions. The orange juice dispenser broke as well but at least they fixed it within 24 hrs. Out of all the hotels we stayed at and this one was for 7 nights I found that the staff here were a bit snooty and were not as hospitable as the other hotel staff. Very disappointed bc the hotel is in a great location and equipped with spa, bar (which most times didn’t have anyone there to serve) and no coffee in the rooms which I thought was completely odd since Europeans drink mainly coffee. I had to pay to get a cup of coffee. Insane!
